 We use hashtags daily, but who are they truly for?


Are hashtags allowing us to reach like-minded communities on Instagram and TikTok or are they primarily used for algorithms determining who sees our content?

I used hashtags all the time on TikTok, and I noticed I use them to attract views and like-minded people to watch.

    I haven't been on TikTok for a while, but when I was, I used hashtags to reach people looking for similar content. However, there were a few times when I may have selected other popular hashtags to help my content be seen. I tried not to do that often as it would be frustrating when I would encounter what I would consider random content that didn't align with the selected hashtags.

Teaching is not always easy. Thankfully there are online communities that offer teachers a place to connect with their peers.
