What If the Internet Had Yearbooks?

Online communities are diverse groups of people. Some want to share their thoughts on everything. Others quietly browse through all the content without interacting.

Both types of people help create online communities and contribute to sharing knowledge.

If online communities had yearbooks, would you be voted "Most Likely to Post" or "Most Likely to Lurk"? Why? 😊😄.

Teaching is not always easy. Thankfully there are online communities that offer teachers a place to connect with their peers. According to studies, many teachers visit online professional communities to find new ideas for lessons. Teachers can share resources and information about what’s working for them.  Who are you talking to when you hashtag? Most humans think they are helping other humans discover their content. But what if we are talking to machines more than we are talking to humans? I’ve personally seen people alter how they write/type, when they post and even what they share based off of what they think the algorithm wants. Do you think social media is still primarily about connecting people, or has it become more about learning how to communicate?
